Welcome to WW2 Reads and thank you for visiting!
The purpose of WW2 Reads is to seek to provide a critical look at stories, analysis and history of the period with an eye towards its impact on the modern day.
Posts cover books, topics and political issues relevant to creating a deeper understanding of WW2 and its importance as the seminal moment of political, historical and social change of the past 100 years.
WW2 Reads is written and maintained by TR Peterson, a writer and historian who is currently doing a PhD in Holocaust and Genocide Studies and lives in Brooklyn, NY with a very supportive wife and three adorable rescue cats.

Dear TR Peterson,
My name is Kevin Prenger and I’m the writer of ‘War Zone Zoo’ about the history of the Berlin Zoo during WW2. If you are interested in a review copy, please let me know.
Kind regards,

Thank you!
I just published “South Beach at War: Sun, Sand & Soldiers during WWII,” the captivating story of the years America’s Playground became the most beautiful boot camp in America.
How can I send a complimentary copy for your review?
Hello,
is there any reference to a good book that describes some of the battles?
I’m trying to get an idea about how popular WW-2 books are as a genre? I imagine not as popular as Romance, but where on the publishing pecking order is this genre? Or, about how many books were published about WW-2 in 2018 and (so far) in 2019?
Great blog.
